How much does a pet documentary cost?
▾
Our cinematic pet documentaries start at $1,000. This covers your pre-shoot consultation, the full filming session, complete post-production editing, a finished cinematic film, and 15 short-form social media clips — everything included, no hidden fees.
How long does the filming take?
▾
Sessions run half-day (3–4 hours) to full-day (6–8 hours) depending on your pet's personality and the story we're telling together. We build buffer time into every schedule — there's never a rush, and we never wrap early just because we hit the hour mark.
What areas do you serve?
▾
We currently film in the
New York City metro area and the
Los Angeles metro area. If you're nearby but outside these regions, get in touch — we occasionally travel for exceptional stories. See our guides for
NYC pet documentaries and
LA pet documentaries for more detail on what's possible in each city.
What's included in the final product?
▾
Every documentary includes: a pre-shoot consultation to plan the story; the full filming session at your chosen location; professional post-production with color grading, sound design, and narrative editing; a finished cinematic film (3–5 minutes); and 15 short-form clips sized for Instagram Reels and TikTok.
How do I prepare my pet for the filming session?
▾
Keep your pet in their natural routine the day before — don't over-exercise them or disrupt their schedule. Bring their favorite toy or treat on the day. Our crew works exclusively with animals and will match your pet's energy rather than forcing poses. For a full rundown, read our guide:
The Ultimate Guide to Preparing Your Pet for a Video Session.
How long until I receive the finished film?
▾
You'll receive your finished cinematic documentary within 2–3 weeks after filming. Social media clips are delivered in the same timeframe. We'll keep you posted during post-production so you know exactly where things stand.
Can I choose the filming location?
▾
Yes — location is completely your choice. Parks, your home, the beach, a favorite trail, a city rooftop. We scout the spot together during your consultation and plan the shoot around the light and setting that suits your pet's story best. If you're not sure, we'll suggest a few options based on your pet's personality.
What if my pet doesn't cooperate during filming?
▾
Completely normal — and the spontaneous, unscripted moments are often the best ones. Our crew works exclusively with animals and patience is built into every schedule. We don't rush, we don't force shots, and we never wrap early. Your pet's authentic personality is the whole point.
